How does the program lower our costs?
Organizations are accustomed to purchasing expensive maintenance contracts that can be 10% to 15% of the original equipment cost. Great American EMS consolidates all your equipment maintenance contracts into one comprehensive equipment service agreement. We spread the financial risk associated with equipment failure from a single device across your entire inventory. Great American EMS can significantly reduce your annual equipment maintenance expenditures.

Many companies often manage multiple maintenance contracts for a great variety of equipment. With one multivendor service agreement, your administration time is greatly reduced and fewer internal resources are required.

What type of service is covered?
Services are customized to closely match your existing maintenance contracts. All repairs and preventive maintenance (if applicable) are included during normal or extended business hours, based on your needs. In addition, many repairs that are usually excluded by traditional maintenance contracts are included in our service agreement.

What equipment can be covered?
Programs can cover virtually any type of electronic or electro-mechanical equipment. Click here to see some examples. Chances are, if you can purchase a maintenance contract or extended warranty for it, we can cover it.

Who actually does the work?
You decide. We work with you upfront to develop a service delivery plan for each equipment class. You may use the original equipment manufacturer, independent service organizations, or even in-house service technicians to maintain your equipment.

How do we know a qualified vendor will maintain our equipment?
Service is a local experience. When we develop the service delivery plan, we work with you to determine which vendors offer the best service in your area. We also track parts providers nationwide to provide competitive price alternatives to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts.

Who do we call when our equipment needs servicing?
Simply call the selected vendor or an alternative of your choice to schedule service at your facility.

What is the total cost of the Great American EMS program?
The total cost is significantly lower than your current maintenance contract costs, depending on your situation, and is payable in manageable monthly, quarterly or semi-annual installments.

What if we want to add or remove equipment from the program?
It's simple to add or remove equipment from the program at any time during the year. The cost is adjusted based on the number of days each device is actually covered.

What kind of reports are available?
The centralization and transparency of information is one of the primary benefits of EMS. We have designed the program to provide all of your maintenance data in one comprehensive database. This information can be viewed in monthly reports in pdf or Excel format or upon request.

How long does the service agreement last?
The service agreement is in effect for one year and is renewed annually. Multiyear options are available.

The initial savings are great, but will my cost increase upon renewal?
In most cases, it is possible for fees to stay flat or even decrease. Great American works with you to manage your service costs and keep them relatively low to support long-term cost containment. While traditional maintenance contract prices can be expected to increase between 5% and 10% per year, our renewal pricing is based on experience, and your repair history is analyzed carefully. Great American EMS strives to keep your fees flat or decreasing year-to-year.
